The cricket match last year was such a huge success that we are doing it again :)

Put date in diary now August 29th 2010.

Last year we raised over £1500 for Iranian workers - hopefully we'll do even better this year.

 Whilst new sanctions hit the Iranian people and the bellicose Israeli rhetoric continues about a military attack, trade union rights are banned and Iranian workers risk life and limb organising for the most basic workers' rights in the face of a brutal theocratic regime. It is essential that the workers' movement provides what material support it can.

.Good news Louise Couling has won the Barking and Daganham by election.

It is however a much closer result then the general election and on a much lower turnout.

Heads should roll as to why this happened it well known that employees can’t stand for council seats they must resign their post. There is plenty of people around Louise to have advised her of this both in LP and UNISON, the potential consequences of this basic error were clear but due to hard work of comrades in Hope not Hate and UAF others those awful consequences did not happen but it was close. Lets hope lessons are learnt and quickly.
